Q: Do you make your own patterns?
A: Yes!!! I have over 16 years of experience constructing costumes and hats. Creating my own
patterns allows me the freedom to design unique garments for my clients.
Q: Do you have a collection of vintage patterns available?
A: Yes!!! In addition to my collection of research books, I have over 1,000 patterns indexed
by decade. These patterns range from the 1910's to the present time.
Q: Can you make a garment from a drawing or picture?
A: Absolutely!!! This is primarily what a costumer does. A costumer can take a 2-dimensional
drawing and use it to create a 3-dimensional garment using the knowledge of clothing construction methods.
Q: I have an idea but I don't know how to draw it.
A: I would be glad to draw for you as you describe your idea. As I draw, we can discuss the
fine details of your garment. When the drawing is finished, you will have an idea of the fit and drape of the fabrics
that will be used to create your garment.
